Decatur- Stand in Solidarity for DACA Recipients

November 2, 2017 @ 10:00 am – 11:00 am
Columbia Presbyterian Church
711 S Columbia Dr, Decatur, GA 30030

Faith leaders, members of faith communities as well as nonprofits and other organizations who work with DACA recipients are encouraged to come and stand in solidarity for DACA on the front steps of Columbia Presbyterian Church on Thursday, Nov. 2 at 10 am.

We are gathering to announce a mental health support program to provide for the physical, emotional and spiritual wellness of DACA students who are undergoing stress and anxiety while waiting to learn whether or not they can continue to live in the United States.

If you are unable to attend, please encourage other members of your faith community, organizations, or associations to come and help fill up the front steps of the church. We want to make a statement of solidarity.

The event will be the public announcement of a mental health support program that has been developed to provide a confidential space for DACA students to be seen in support groups with licensed counselors. An initial support group has already begun meeting at the Latin American Associations (LAA), 2750 Buford Hwy. ND, Atlanta, GA 30324. Please share the word to other DACA students who are welcome to sign up for a group by contacting the LAA at

If you have any questions, please email me.
